Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya Samiti - The RMS Samiti exercises control and supervision over the programs undertaken in accordance with the aims and objects (Rule 4). Samiti comprises of eight ex-officio members (representing different Ministries, departments and organizations), and eight subject experts from among anthropologists, archaeologists, museologists, folk art & craft nominated by the central government (Rule 3). Minister-in-charge, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India is the President of the Samiti. Executive Council - The Executive Council have full powers and authority to do all acts, matters, things and deeds which may be necessary or expedient for the purpose of the Samiti. The property movable and immovable belonging to the Samiti, the income thereof and the general superintendence, direction, control an administration of the affairs of the Samiti, shall be vested in the Executive Council. (Rule 18.a). The EC, comprises of eleven ex-officio members and three subject experts nominated by the Central Government out of the subject experts nominated for the RMS Samiti (Rule 18.b). Secretary to Government of India Ministry of Culture is Chairman (ex-officio). The Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture, GOI is the Vice Chairperson and Director, IGRMS is the ex-officio Member-Secretary. Finance Committee - The Finance Committee appointed by the Executive Council comprises of Financial Adviser, Ministry of Culture as Chairman (ex-officio). (Rule 46 and Minutes of the 1st meeting of Executive Council held on 22.11.1985 under Item No.10). The Finance Committee have duties to advice and recommend the Executive Council on any financial questions affecting the affairs of the Samiti. Composition of Finance Committee. (click to view list)

Standing and other Sub-Committee - The Executive Council have powers, functions and conduct of business by Advisory Boards or Committees, standing and other Sub-Committees, as may be constituted from time to time , and the office of their members. (Rule 32(ii)b).
